Implants, How close to each other. ...and why This is a nice case but it has all kinds of things on it that can help us learn what the biological parameters are for keeping implants at a certain distance. This will be the first of a number of posts on this subject. Stay tuned. By now many have heard that you keep 3mm in between implants and two mm between an implant and a tooth. Also we have heard that you keep 2mm of bone on both the buccal and lingual. But what is the biological basis of this. Best Sheldon Attachments:

Pressure necrosis and lack of PDL! but the biological basis of distance , pressure necrosis and of course PDL here is an image of a bone widening procedure, not our topic, that has limited plate thickness and possibly may have future issues...maybe. will there be adequate circulation in the buccal and lingual bone after placement and maturity to provide for repair post trauma and after inflammation?
