If you see a thread (topic or conversation) that you would like to follow move your arrow/cursor over the thread name and a check box will appear to the left of the thread name. Check the check box. From the "Actions" drop down menu select "Bookmark". You will receive an email notification when the thread is updated.
You can also update your general email notification settings by selecting "Profile" from the horizontal menu -> Edit Profile -> Notifications.
